My Story
Ying Liu(Tomin)
Hi, there
My name is Ying Liu, you can also call me Tomin. I come from China. I came to Australia to study in 2018 and started my spatial design degree in 2020. I've always been fascinated with art. I enjoyed the atmosphere that comes from space, and it can bring different emotions to humans. While in university, I learned how to use the atmosphere to influence human senses and solve a series of social problems through design.My design declaration is to create a place that coexists in harmony with the environment, combines function and beauty, inspires emotion and innovation, and provides people with a comfortable, sustainable, and soulful living space.My design focuses on using materials to integrate into the design, to create sustainable project, through the understanding of social problems, actively participate in the improvement of society and communities, thereby addressing these problems and communicating design ideas.

2018-2020
Monash college
In 2018, I came to Australia to start my school life. I took a one-year foundation course and a half-year extended foundation course in college. During this time, I learned a lot of knowledge, such as how to use Excel. Moreover, I learned accounting deeply. Also, my English improved by leaps and bounds during this period, which made me better connected to my university life.
2021-2023
Monash University
I started my university life in 2021. My major is spatial design. In university, I learned modeling skills, including model rendering. The most important thing for me is understanding the concepts of design. I also want to convey social issues through my designs.
